Rape and the way Tumblr users use that word

I don’t speak English very well and sometimes, I avoid saying what I think of because that. I’m always afraid people will misunderstand what I’m going to say and it’s going to…

I promised myself I would not reply to those things but I have to do it because I can’t believe you are saying this. I mean, come on, it’s like this post was written for you and you decided to ignore it.
Seriously, I don’t go around telling people how they need to use words. I said “please, be considerate”. It doesn’t mean “do as I say”, it doesn’t mean “freedom of speech doesn’t exist”, it means : try to be a decent human being, okay ?
Telling me that I’m looking to be offended when I’m making a post about such a difficult subject, it’s like saying “I don’t care about this topic and I’m going to do as I please” and of course, you can. Do what you want.
That part about “talking to total strangers and talking about how words are being used is a waste of time”, it’s like saying : “Look, it’s the internet, no one cares”.
“Don’t bother having an opinion, my dear, you’re alone and you don’t have a voice”. It’s bullshit, allow me to say that. Just because you’re not ready to understand and listen to what I have to say does not mean people are going to see this and think “oh well, why should I care ?”. And for the love of everything eternal, don’t compare the situation of rape survivors with muslim immigrants. Don’t say “they’re looking to be offended” when those people can really suffer from racism and stereotypes. It goes from “I don’t care about your feelings” to “I’m going to be a jerk and insult an entire community”.
And finally, you said “So I understand why someone would come up to me and tell me to refrain from using words the way I want to. But I don’t agree with them.”, but it’s like saying : “I refuse to educate myself”.
So you agree you don’t want to be a sensitive person, you agree you don’t want to think of what this word really means. Basically, you agree you are going to do what you want and people who don’t think like you can just go fuck themselves. Fine. It’s your right and no one can stop you. But please, don’t pretend you have any idea what you are talking about because clearly, you don’t.
